Our next student of the week is Junior Naomi Berhanu. Berhanu is a hard-working student who is an active participant in our school, being in clubs including DECA, SGA, NHA, Science Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Science Olympiad; while being the vice president of the Psychology Club and a secretary of NAS.
Berhanu is not only actively involved in a plethora of clubs, but she is also campaigning to be the senior class president for next year.
“I am campaigning for class president because I want to be more involved in my school community, and I have a lot of ideas I would love to implement within the school to benefit the student body. “ Berhanu said
All the work Berhanu has put into her school is to support her future goals of going to college and becoming a lawyer. As a rising senior, Berhanu has had a lot of experiences in high school.
“Over the years, school has taught me a lot. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to collaborate with others and how to develop a work ethic that will prepare me for college.” Berhanu said.
Next year, Berhanu’s going to be a senior and will interact with the incoming freshmen.
“I would tell the incoming freshmen to do their work when they get it so it doesn’t pile up and to begin good habits sooner so they can last you the 4 years,” Berhanu said. “Also, remember to always have fun and put yourself out there; it will be over before you know it.”
Berhanu is an amazing contributor to our school environment, jeftf and seeing her as the senior class president would be great andw beneficial. We are excited to see what Berhanus’s last year at our school holds, and we wish her luck in her campaign for class president.
