The Christmas Carol has been a tradition for many years, becoming something for theater students to look forward to. This year, Students, parents, teachers, and classmates filled the auditorium with holiday cheer! There was a series of storytelling, music, and some drama.
The production was extremely well-manufactured, especially in terms of the details in the set. Everything from Mr Scrooge’s house to the small things like the brick roads the cast walked on. Philip Domack explains how intricate the process is in creating the brick for he roads, and how much attention to detail it takes to create it.
“We have to measure it all out. And there’s a lot of different techniques that go into it.” Domack said.
From the beginning to the end of the show, it was anything but imperfect; every actor had each detail spot on, from the way they turned their head to the expression on their face. The technical director, Zachary Bailey, organized the blueprints.
The play was based on a novella from Charles Dickens called A Christmas Carol, which was published in 1843. The novella is quite famous around the world.
” I have watched the play in New York before, and I am really excited to see everyone’s work.” Petros Burleson said.
The actors prepared for the play by rehearsing and practicing lines every day. The play was put together very thoroughly, with every detail being perfected.
“This show in particular was very comforting, and as an actor, it was so fun seeing my friends and family there, and we had some very positive feedback”. Owen Handerson said.
Over the span of the three-day production, the ticket sales produced have reached the highest they’ve ever been. The students’ determination to make the play the very best it can be has made all of this possible.
