Tate Bacon and Leah Given Named Outstanding Athletes

Both were selected by a committee of coaches as the outstanding athletes of the 2019-20 winter season

Sophomore swimmer Tate Bacon and senior runner Leah Given were selected by a committee of coaches as the outstanding athletes of the winter season.

Given received the honor for qualifying for states as a member of the 4 x 800 relay and for her top five finish in the individual 1000m race. She placed fifth.

Bacon received the honor for being a member of two conference champion relay teams, for two individual conference champion finishes in the 50 and 100 free. Along with those achievements, Bacon was the regional champion in the 100 free and went on to finish 2nd place overall at states in the 100 free.
