The boys’ basketball team made it to the second round of playoffs this season, finishing 2nd in the conference, a big accomplishment considering last year’s losing record

Moving into the off-season, there are many things that the team is looking forward to. One is the experience that is returning next season.

“10 of our players are coming back out of our 12,” junior AJ Smalls said.

Losing to Richmond in round two and Millbrook twice in conference, there are steps the team can take to get better.

“Rebounding. We need to work on rebounding,” junior Dashaun Grant said.

There were some pretty impressive highlights throughout the season as well. Including a couple of slam dunks.

“One of my highlights was dunking on Heritage,” Grant said.

The team could have done better than they did, and there are always parts of the game they need to improve on or some things they regret.

“I regret us not trying as hard in the conference,” Smalls said.
