The 200 Free Relay swimming team of senior Emma Isley, freshman Sophie Smyre, sophomore Hannah Dion and freshman Olivia Rudolph competed at the 4A Swimming Regionals held at the Triangle Aquatics Center in Cary. Led by freshmen Sophie Smyre, the team placed 15th out of 22 teams.

“I feel like we have drastically improved since the four years that I have been here,” Isley said. The relay team of 4 consists of 3 underclassmen and 1 senior, so the swimmers hope to return to regionals next year.

The 400 Relay team of senior Laurel York, freshman Lindsay Madden, Dion, and Rudolph also finished in the top 20 of the Regionals with times of 4:03.50 and 4:01.50.

Isley said, “I think that the team’s accomplishments as a whole were better than last year’s.”
