Senior Elizabeth Prosser has been named a Commended Student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 PSAT.

Prosser said she was excited about the honor, but she wished that “she could have gone further and got a scholarship.”

For her future plans, Prosser is unsure of which college she will attend but knows her desired career.

Prosser said, “I’d like to do something with foreign affairs because I like to travel.”
