As people get older and are presented with more opportunities to shape their future, having good time management becomes harder.
With the growing demand for classes, after-school clubs, sports and part-time jobs, it can be overwhelming to effectively balance everything
To get a closer look into students schedules and everyday activities, several anonymous interviews were conducted throughout the school.
As shown in the graph above, a majority of students expressed that in and outside of school, they participate in sports activities, work, clubs, and other activities. Students were asked about activities they participate in, how many hours per week they dedicate to them, and how they feel when their schoolwork and extracurricular activities collide.
One of the responses from the interviews said, “I dedicate 2-4 hours per week to volleyball outside of school, and I ask for help when needed and try my very best to stay focused, especially when I know something needs to be done.”
Several of the interviews create a pattern, as the majority of them state that they have a schedule to keep up with their school work and extra activities.
While managing your time effectively can be a challenge, it is also an evolving skill that gets better over time. For many, it can get hard to not get overwhelmed with different activities while also balancing schoolwork.
