Along with the new fall season comes Halloween and all of the exciting activities that students and their friends and families take part in. Trick or treating, costumes, parties, pumpkin carving and the list of celebrations goes on as students dive into how they will be participating in Halloween this year.
Some might say as one enters high school, they have outgrown trick or treating.
“My parents are not letting me go trick or treating with my friends because I’m too old,” sophomore Garrison Smith said.
Lots of students ignore society and continue to do their favorite activities.
“I’m going to go trick or treating and to a haunted house with my friends,” freshman Kelsee Blalock said.
As little siblings want to go out trick or treating, there are some students that take up the job as their chaperone.
“I’ll go trick or treating with my brother,” senior Miranda Escobedo said.
Rather than trick or treating, other students decide to be on the opposite side of the tradition.
“I’m helping pass out candy with my friends,” junior Kaitlyn Neal said.
Another popular choice of celebration for Halloween is parties.
“I will probably go to my friend’s Halloween party, or I will go to my neighborhood Halloween party,” freshman Sophia Bertelli said.
Some choose to dress up in costumes even if they are not going trick or treating or going to a party.
“I am going to be celebrating Halloween by dressing up in different Taylor Swift eras and then sit around a campfire,” junior Erin Jones said.
The majority of students don’t have any particular plans but still intend on having fun.
“I’ll hangout with some of my friends and we’ll do something fun,” senior Parker Jarrell said.
