The girls’ cross country team closed out the regular season in Cary Oct. 16 for the conference championship race. The Wakefield Wolverines edged out the Cougars 67 to 81 to claim the third spot.
Sophomore Lily Alston cracked the top five with her 20:36.35 finish. Right behind Alston, junior Allie Raitano finished 20:39.03.
