Hirsh recognized with Spotlight Award
January 30, 2019
The Spotlight on Students award recognizes an active learner, good decision maker and/or advocate. Senior Sam Hirsch has received the 2018-19 spotlight award this January.
Hirsch says he’s “proud” to have received this award.
Dean of Students, Dr. Laura Inscoe shares how Hirsch was a great fit for this award.
“After an incident that caused severe nerve damage in his leg, Sam has always carried himself with his head held high, even on his most difficult days.” Inscoe said. “Through another unexpected procedure this semester, Sam has still maintained a positive attitude, completes all of his assignments and is still on track to graduate in June 2019.”
Inscoe sums up Hirsch’s achievement with this one statement.
“Sam Hirsch is an excellent student, and an even more exceptional kid.”
