Pepi is a student-centered approach designed to make learning more engaging and effective. It focuses on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students. By incorporating interactive activities, digital tools, and real-world problem-solving, Pepi aims to move away from rote memorization and encourage more profound understanding.
To gain insight into the impact of Pepi, we spoke with a student currently enrolled in the program.
“I enjoy this class because I get to hang out with all of my friends while doing fun activities with the kids,” junior Carly Falzon said. “My classmates and I work with some kids daily to push them to find new boundaries and improve our abilities simultaneously.”
The student suggested making activities more engaging and inclusive when asked what they would change.
“I would change some of our activities to something more engaging and inclusive for everyone to do together,” Falzon said.
Describing the classroom environment, they emphasized its positive energy.
“I would describe the atmosphere as encouraging and lively,”Falzon said.
Beyond academics, the class has also contributed to personal growth.
“This class has helped me grow as a student because it has taught me that everyone learns and participates in their ways, and you just have to give everyone an equal opportunity to do so,” Falzon said.
As schools continue to explore innovative teaching strategies, Pepi represents a step toward a more engaging and effective educational system. Its emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking is paving the way for the future of learning. Educators and policymakers note this approach, and its adoption is expected to grow in the coming years. Could Pepi be the future of education? Only time will tell, but the results so far are promising.
