Recently, all the French classes participated in an online challenge offered on ThisIsLanguage.com. All students participating played a game called Nutty Tilez.

The Goal of this game is– through typing, repetition, and memorization–that all students can better their French vocabulary.

The challenge was worldwide and a total of 3,900 students participated. Students had to reach level 50 before the end of the 3 day competition in order to complete it. Out of all these students, Fekaris placed second.

“It was a lot of fun competing with others around the world,” Fekaris said. “It was cool to see how my hard work paid off.”

Fekaris won a $50 iTunes gift card for placing second and also will have an avatar named after him on the website.

Fekaris said, “When the next competition comes around I hope that I can place first. It would just be cool to try and do better than I did this year.”
