Many fall athletes received recognition as members of all conference teams and other superlatives.

Freshman cross country runner Erin Spreen was named all-conference, all-region and all-state. Senior runner Kayla Holder also made the all-region and all-state teams. Both girls compete year-round, running track during their time away from cross country.

Senior Samantha Bennett was named all-conference, all-region and all-state for girls’ golf. Bennett placed second in the state tournament out of 78 competitors.
The boys’ soccer team contributed two players, Connor Cochrane and Zach Engel, to the all-conference team.

Despite a second-round upset for the football team, ten players were named to the all-conference team, and several received additional individual superlatives.
Senior offensive lineman Brandon Locklear, senior offensive lineman Konnor McCune, junior linebacker Darius Hodge, senior defensive back Kimon Small and junior linebacker Jake Campbell were all named to the all-conference roster.

Senior kicker Cole Westberry was named all-conference along with the superlative of Special Teams Player of the Year. Junior Xach Gill was named all-conference along with the superlative of Defensive Player of the Year. Sophomore running back Devon Lawrence was named all-conference along with the superlative for Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

Early-graduate Dexter Lawrence added to his resume as he was named all-conference, all-state, cap-8 Player of the Year, Metro area defensive player of the year, Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year and Parade All-American First Team.

Football coach Reggie Lucas also received praise as he was named Cap-8 coach of the year.
